This Swedish firesteel, created by the Scandinavian military, is the essential fire-lighting tool for all conditions. When scraped using the metal tang supplied (or the back of a decent knife blade) will produce a shower of hot (3000 degrees) sparks to ignite a range of tinders, from dry birch bark to cotton wool pads.
